A pair of CSS FR125S fullrange drivers supplied with a set of Firm Hold Fasteners.
The CSS FR125S is the evolution of the groundbreaking WR125S XBL2 wide range driver and the world's first full range speaker using this motor topology. Purists were not satisfied that the WR125S needed a tweeter. So CSS and Adire went back to work and extended the technology into the FR125S.
The FR125S retains the superb midrange clarity and extended, low distortion bass which is the hallmark of Adire's XBL2 with its flatter BL (a measure of motor strength). Adjusting the internal copper content and tweaking the soft parts has extended the high frequencies to cover the entire top octave. Measured on a standard IEC baffle in a 200 litre enclosure the on-axis response is +/- 3 dB from 65 Hz to 20 kHz. The FR125S is a superb full range driver priced to provide extraordinary value.
Shielded for use near CRT monitors, the FR125S is suitable for Hi-Fi and Home Theatre. The simplicity of using a single speaker without crossover costs and side-effects makes it an ideal candidate for a wide range of DIY applications.
